This is a good game but the campaign is short. I also don't understand the point of the naval units. You unlock them very late in the game and then can only use them for 2 or 3 matches then they are gone forever. Regardless, it is a decent tower defense game. To any new players, I recommend upgrading and using tanks significantly after match 10. The infantry towers become nearly useless around the 20th match.
Love this game. I wish they had more campaigns or even an endless mode. The new seige game is ok, but it's a bit tiresome and monotonous. Also, more weapon systems and further development options of the current weapons would be fun. But overall, this is the best defense game that is not a pay to win that allows you to beat it your own way without it being a puzzle on choosing the right weapons or patterns.
Good gameplay. Not too easy nor too difficult. You can win most battles with different combinations of weapons as you learn their capabilities. Minimal ads. I appreciate the 15 extra battles that they have added in 2025, although they are easier than many in the first chapter. Hopefully we will see the 2nd chapter territory expanded?
This game is fun. Maybe add like daily rewards, quests rewards, challenge rewards, etc so it's not too empty. It needs more rewards. Maybe add more troops as well like mortars, missile launcher, or maybe aircraft to move around the map on its own. It has potential to be one of the best defense games imo.
I'd say this game was a fun 10ish minute per level game that you absolutely do not need to pay for. Played on hard for all levels and was a challenge for some of them! There was one level mid way through where you had a massive amount of big dark blue tanks with heavy shields that I think could have been a "last level" boss mission. Also, when you beat the final level, nothing happened. It was kind of a letdown. Would have liked to have some sort of "way to go champ" ending scene! Oh well!
Would give a 5 star but... The game is terrific. Fun to play. Problem is, I beat all 120 levels (3 levels per map) and then there is nothing left to do. From the overview map it appears that more levels are "under the clouds", but they don't materialize.... spent a few dollars beating all the levels in hopes that it would open more levels, but it didn't. Disappointing.
It's a fun game. They have tutorials and show how to setup different options. You can choose between easy, normal, and hard. The difference between the easy to hard is the amount of machine's and enemy troops coming at you. The hard part for you is the waiting period to update your troops or your tanks and/or jeeps. Otherwise, it's a pretty fun game. They give you an elite soldier who helps coordinate and can call for a bombing run.
Fun for the most part. The game can be a little annoying at times. From not being able place units even when there's nothing blocking it from being placed (eg bushes or the lane for enemies)to the near uselessness of the infantry; this game leaves something to be desired. Beat the game once some months back and came back to see if anything got better...I was disappointed lol.
Like most have already said, this is a great game for a few days. Once you beat al levels on 3 stars, it just ends. No need to spend a dime because it can be completed easily without any boosts. It feels like this game is incomplete. There should be at least 2 more worlds full of levels. Unfortunately I'm not going to stick around for a year for the developers to release a few more levels.
I love Tower defense games, miss the old classics like Tower Raiders... WWII Defense is one of the best modern tower defense games I've found. Was very fun, challenging enough on hard difficulty that I had to play some levels a few times to beat, but nothing was unwinnable without paying for something as you find in some other games, and there were no ads. My only disappointment is that there aren't more levels, so I'll be looking out for expansions or sequels...
Easy to learn to play Update 11/19 The game is not very long, and the game has lots of variables. Most are useless too expensive, shoots too slow, does not have a 360 view Basically, tanks, the machine guns, and the vehicle that spots the invisible guys. Cannot replay games, so you can not get more money and points. One play,That's all you get The game would be a lot more fun if you had better choices of pieces. just three. Three stars, it could be a lot better.
The game is actually really fun and not bad, but you know the game just, stops. You can literally, and actually, beat the game. After a certain point there are no more levels. And in order to 100% the game you have to pay real world money and that's just, no. Were it not for that I'd give the game 5 stars, it's rare to get a mobile game that actually has a completable goal.
The game is very fun! It is probably the best Tower defense game I've played. Problem is there's no replayability. If you replay missions it doesn't give you anything. I've beat all missions and there's nothing left to do. There are still many tower & hero upgrades left to purchase but I can't get them because I can't get any more coins when I beat the missions. This would be 5/5 if they added the ability to keep playing the missions. If missions still gave rewards they are fun enough to replay!
One of the better tower defense games, without any paywall or pay-to-win. The game starts feeling like there are only 3 tower types, buy you easily unlock more soon. Instead of a separate sniper / machine gun / grenade tower they are all sub categories of the "Infantry Tower". All around a great game and definitely worth playing. If you're a veteran tower defense player, towards the end when you have everything unlocked it gets pretty easy. *Please add an endless mode or harder difficulty*
The game is actually enjoyable and decent but severely lacks the content I finished a game within 4 hours of playing and am kind of annoyed that there is no survival mode or more missions. By just spaming the light range tank and occasionally upgrading, i beat all 40 levels. There are only 40 missions in total, and on maybe 2 you can use a battleship but otherwise are useless. Had it been 3 times the content and maybe higher difficulty, it would have been 5 stars.
I enjoyed the game and developing appropriate strategies to beat each level. However, there does not seem to be a timeline of when more missions or any other updates will come out. Once you finish collecting all 120 stars, there us nothing to do but keep playing old missions which does not net any new rewards. The game essentially ends without being able to upgrade everything without spending actual money and the game can be beaten going F2P.
I'm not a big fan of cell phones games, but this is by far my favorite game ever. I played it and conquer it. Never deleted it and kept playing the levels all over again. I decided to delete all data and cache to start from cero. And the new update from Nov 1 came up, updated the game and I'm exited about it, want to see what's new. So far the only downfall I see is that an add has appeared witch previous version didn't have and that was one of the things I liked the most, it was free of adds.
40 levels, that's it. Zero replay value to any of it. I beat "hard" difficulty in first go with only tank towers 80% of the time. Intro the navy on like level 30, and you get to use them in 3 levels. Maybe at 3 more difficulties, and don't make people purchase coins. The tower perks are pointless out unless you purchase coins since they are used to upgrade the heros too
It's pretty alright, I appreciate the lack of ads and overall it's a fun game. My biggest complaint is that its too easy, Im over halfway through and was able to 3 star almost every level on hard my first try without upgrading much. Would love if it was more challenging, I think a bit more variety to the enemies might help with that. Also the "heroes" are super fan-servicey, not a big issue but kinda goofy imo
Seems to me to be a particularly greedy micro transaction waste of time. The game starts off in a way that is reasonably enjoyable, but you fairly quickly run into a pay wall with seemingly no options for grinding through slowly at all without paying. You can replay levels, but not in a way that earns the resources necessary to progress. I would so much rather pay for a well developed game that was fun without a greedy microtransaction business model, but I can't find any.
